Biography

Dr. Liao is a Research Assistant Professor in Department of Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She completed her PhD study in the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021 and received her postdoctoral training at Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health (GIBH), Chinese Academy of Sciences in Guangzhou, China.

Dr. Liao specializes in tumor immunotherapy, with a particular focus on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy and induced-T-to-natural killer (ITNK) cell therapy. Alongside her colleagues, they are committed to developing and optimizing new CAR-T and ITNK cells for the treatment of leukemia and solid tumors.

Research Interests

  • Optimization of CAR vector designs
  • Metabolic-epigenetic regulation of CAR-T and ITNK cells
